Fresh strawberries
custard tart
Ingredients:
1 cup (250 ml) flour (all purpose)
3 tablespoons (45 ml) icing sugar
1/2 cup (125 ml) softened butter
1/3 cup (75 ml) cream to be whipped
8 oz (250g) Cream cheese, softened
1/3 cup (75 ml) sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons (7 ml) de vanilla
3 cups (750 ml) complete strawberries
1/2 cup (125 ml) of red jelly of currants or strawberries
Preparation:
Mix the flour, the icing sugar
and the butter, mix until granular consistency.
Spread uniformly at the bottom and wall a round flan dish or
a 9" squared (23 cm) or a 9" (23 cm) pie dish. To cool
15 minutes.
Cook in the oven preheated in 220°C (425°F) from 8 to
10 minutes. Let cool off.
Whip the cream until firmness; put aside.
Beat the cream cheese until smooth; incorporate, while beating,
the granular sugar and the vanilla.
Incorporate delicately the whipped cream.
Turn on the cooked crust. Cool it.
Wash and dry strawberries.
Have on the top of the custard.
Melt jelly on low fire; let it warm a little.
Put delicately with a spoon on strawberries.
Well cool before serving.
